Mrs. Clayton's Biographical Information PDF Print E-mail

Jackie Clayton was born in LaCrescent, Minnesota and is the daughter of Rev. Howard and Virginia Nelson. Pastor Nelson pioneered churches in Wisconsin and served as the pastor of Wyldewood Baptist Church for 22 years. Jackie was saved at the age of six and has been involved in church ministry since childhood. She surrendered her life for full-time Christian service when she was a teenager and began a lifelong commitment to soulwinning. She attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, and graduated in 1972 with a degree in Missions. Jackie returned to her home town and began serving in her father's ministry.

In 1973, she met Richard Clayton, and they were married in 1974. Brother Clayton is the principal of Wyldewood Christian School, and together they have served the Lord through the ministries of Wyldewood Baptist Church for 23 years. Jackie is actively involved in the music ministry, directs the ladies' soulwinning group, and serves as the secretary of Wyldewood Christian School. She designed and markets the "Sled Skirt", a feminine alternative in active winter wear. The Claytons have been blessed with five children; four boys and one girl.
