Consider This
Before going any further, please read the following: You are the special creation of God and you are loved by God, but God sees you as a sinner. The Bible declares all men, including you, to be sinners. Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Your sin stands as a barrier between you and a Holy God, and you are unworthy to enter His presence in your sinful condition.
God's holiness demands that sin must be punished, and your sin had to be paid for. God loves you and He made provision for you when He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to pay for your sins. Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, then went to the cross of Calvary to be crucified, paying the penalty for the sins of all mankind, including yours. Jesus said to Nicodemus, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) When Jesus Christ shed His blood, he became the substitute payment for your sin. The Bible says "In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his glory." (Ephesians 1:7) You can be "redeemed," or brought back to God, through Jesus Christ!
You cannot depend upon your religion, your good works, your sincere intentions, nor anything else that you can do, to get you to heaven or to commmend you to God. The only way your broken relationship to God can ever be restored is for you to recognize your need for forgiveness, to humble yourself, and to accept God's payment for your sins. You must repent of your sins (Acts 17:31), believe on Jesus Christ, and call upon Him to save you. If you do that, He promises to forgive you and make you His child. John 1:12 says "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name"
Please do not take these facts lightly - your eternal soul rests on what you do with the Son of God! If you call upon Him (Romans 10:9-13) he will save you. You have God's promise that when you die, you will go to heaven (I Thessalonians 4:16,17) to live with Him forever. If you reject Him (John 12:48), you will spend eternity in hell. Why not ask Him to save you today, before it is too late?
If you would now accept Jesus Christ as your own personal Saviour, ask Him to save you with this prayer:
Dear Lord,
I realize that I am a sinner and that I cannot pay for my sin myself. I accept the payment you made for my
sin by dying in my place on the cross of Calvary. I believe that you died, were buried, and that you rose
again, victorious over death. Please save me. Thank you for saving my soul and giving me the gift of
eternal life. Amen.
