Ministry Overview

Wings As Eagles Mission Air Service was founded in 1984 and serves fundamental Baptist churches and their missionaries. Our main purpose is to help churches and their missionaries in their "Great Commission" goals by taking pastors and their people on short missionary trips. This enables them to enlarge their vision for the souls around the world that need Christ as Saviour and it gives them a greater understanding and burden for their missionary's needs.

Our representatives present the ministry in various churches around the United States, and we challenge each pastor to take a mission trip with some of the men of his church. A date and destination are set and the trip is scheduled, usually about a year in advance. Once on the field, we distribute literature and assist the missionary wherever possible, including holding evangelistic meetings and building church structures. We seek to meet the physical needs of the people we are reaching through medical aid, dental care, distribution of clothing and food supplies. Upon the return from the trip, the church usually hosts a mission conference. During this time, the pastor, our representative, and those who went on the trip challenge the entire congregation to do more for missions.

Wings As Eagles is non-sectarian in its humanitarian outreach. We are a nonprofit aviation ministry, reaching into Canada, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean area. Our pilots are all highly qualified, trained, and experienced. From 1984 to 2006 Wings As Eagles flew its aircraft over 3,000 hours, traveled over 450,000 nautical miles, led 160 trips, and transported 1,080 people to the mission field! We thank God for the privilege of serving Him in this great work.

Financial Information

Wings As Eagles is a ministry of Wyldewood Baptist Church. Fiscal policies are overseen by the pastor, deacons, trustees, and treasurer of the church. As the sponsoring church, we support the ministry financially, but the majority of the resources are given by other churches and individuals. Our representatives serve as home missionaries, and they each must raise their own personal support. All other money given to the ministry is utilized to further the work, and no money is ever used to benefit the general fund of the church. All designated funds are used for the purpose for which they are allocated. Any supporting church or individual can obtain a copy of this ministry's financial statement by requesting it in writing to the church. "Meeting in the Air" Conference

July 30-August 3, 2008
At the end of July every year, Oshkosh, Wisconsin and the Experimental Aircraft Association's (EAA) annual Fly-in and Convention is a mecca for aviation enthusiasts from around the globe. It is the world's largest gathering of airplanes, pilots, and spectators, drawing nearly a million people to the convention annually!

During this event, Wyldewood Baptist Church opens its doors to host an exciting conference called the "Meeting in the Air." It is primarily a preaching conference, with services each evening, Wednesday through Sunday. This allows attendees to go to the air show during the day and come to our conference in the evenings. Missionaries, pastors, pilots, A & P mechanics, flight instructors, aircraft dealers and suppliers, representatives from aviation ministries and many others come to our conference to network with other Christian ministries. Our own "Wings As Eagles Mission Air Service" hosts a banquet on Saturday night. Men from around the world give testimonies of how God is working through aviation in their particular ministry.

Anyone who desires further information about the "Meeting in the Air" should contact Capt. Bob Warinner or Pastor Randy King.
