One of our goals duing a Scripture Distribution campaign is to get a portion of the Word of God into as many hands and homes that we can in a rather short amount of time. This is accomplished through a structured team effort. Our initial team of a about 35 people is divided into 4 teams who are led by experienced team leaders. Each team is assigned a van and and area of the city wher they will be stationed to hand out Gospels of John/Romans. Several team members will be placed at an area where there will be lots of foot traffic, such as markets, train, tram, bus and subway stops, corners of busy intersections and near shopping centers. Somedays a team will go to apartments and place John/Romans there. An average distribuion day would go something like this: Breakfast, then 9:00 am team meeting, 10:30 am load into vans and head to distribution sites, 11:00 am begin to hand out scriptures, 12:30 pm lunch with team at local Bistro, 1:30 pm back out to distribution site, 5:00 pm picked up and return to hotel, 6:30 entire team with missionaries have dinner and fellowship at various restaurants.
During and average day of distribution approximately 15,000 scriptures are handed out. What is really exciting is when team members are at the evangelistic meeting nd they recognize someone they have a John/Romans to, or the guest recognizes a specific team member and smile and shake their hand as they enter the service.
